22 Mar We are now the global outlier in the community of nations.
It didn’t take long. In span of less than 60 days, the Trump Administration named a climate change denier, Scott Pruitt, as Administrator of the EPA, submitted a budget to cut the EPA by 51%, set-out to re-write the Clean Power Plan, reversed executive orders on clean water protection, threatened to pull out of the 195 nation Paris Agreement on climate change, implemented action to reinvigorate coal mining, opened up public lands to more fossil fuel and mining exploration and revised standards on tailpipe pollution as well as slashing research funding for climate change research, to name a few items.
As Mick Mulvaney, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, said “as to climate change, I think the President was fairly straight forward: we’re not spending money on that anymore”
